If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.
John 7:17
Governments, religions, groups and leaders claim to know the truth. One of the kings in the Bible asked Jesus plainly, "What is Truth?" Of all the religions out there, what is the right one? That is the important question.
Jesus gives some great direction on finding out the truth. People were really confused about who He was, where He came form, what He was teaching, and the miracles that He was doing. His own brothers didn't believe who He was. People were afraid to talk about Him because the religious leaders were on the warpath against Him. They had even sent officers to arrest Him, but they came back saying, "No man ever spoke like this Man!"
In the midst of all this drama and confusion, Jesus simply states that If someone desires to do God's will, then they will know that what He teaches is right. That is pretty simple and direct. That challenge still stands. If someone is a true seeker of God and really desires to know Him--they are going to run right into Jesus. God has an awesome way of reaching out to people and exposing His love to them. There is no country, no religion, and no place where God has not invaded with the message of His love in Christ. He has turned the world upside down!
And the reason is that there are people out there who really want to know God. That is the important distinction. They don't want to just know about God--they want to know and experience God. And when these people read or hear about Jesus, they know that He is indeed the Way, the Truth, and the Life because He is the very image of God in human form.
It is as simple as that. Jesus is the Cornerstone of History. Jesus is the only way to God. There is no other name given under heaven by which men must be saved. We are not called to save anybody--Jesus does that. We are just called to share Him with others let Him be the very truth of their lives.
Blessings to you!
