... Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.
John 9:25
Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost and now am found. Was blind but now I see. Most of us have heard this song., and many of us have sung it many times. It is a beautiful truth about what God has done in our lives. Our testimony is simply that God loved us and opened our eyes so that we could see His Amazing love in Christ Jesus.
In John 9, there was a man who was born blind. Jesus miraculously healed him and this started a whole chain of crazy events. The people who knew this guy had been born blind began to question what was going on. Some of them didn't even believe that was the guy that was born blind until he told them, "I am that guy." (John 9:8-9) Of course they wanted to know how it happened and He didn't have too much to tell them except that a Man named Jesus had healed him.
The story finally got around to the religious leaders who were not happy about this at all. They put this guy on the hot seat. They even got his parents involved and scared them because they were so intent on making Jesus into a bad guy. He kept telling them that "He made me see!" The religious leaders got more and more upset. Finally, it all came apart and they threw him out of the place of worship! Crazy stuff!
We may not understand everything that God has done for us. We may not know the reasons why. It doesn't matter. God hasn't called us to figure Him out. He called us to be the people who have experienced His love and amazing grace. When He truly touches our lives, it changes who we are. We don't have to explain it all. All we need to say is the simple truth. This is who I was before. This is who I am now. And in between those two is an encounter with Jesus! Whoever believes or doesn't believe doesn't matter. It all comes down to showing the work of God--His amazing grace in our lives!
Blessings to you!
