Joy Part 3: Rejoicing in Jesus

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say rejoice!

Philippians 4:4

Life is about the relationships. We are not going to take anything with us to heaven except the relationships that we build with others. Having a relationship with God is fundamental to every human being. Without Him we are lost and without hope. At one time we lived in perfect harmony with God, but then we disobeyed and we lost that wonderful relationship. However, God didn't leave us alone. He came up with the plan for our redemption so that we might be reconciled to Him. That plan was revealed in Jesus Christ His Son

In fact the Bible says, God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Jesus is the chief reason for joy in the life of any believer.

Jesus is the very image of God. He told His disciples, "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father." (John 14:9) He lived a life of love and because He loved us so much He died for us that we might be forgiven. He says the three things that every human needs to hear. I love you. I forgive you. . Another reason for joy is that Jesus thought we were worth dying for. Self-esteem becomes Christ-esteem. The very God of the universe wants a relationship with us! That is reason for rejoicing! And Jesus did it! He lived a perfect life. He died on the cross and then to show us that He was everything He said He was--He rose from the dead! Absolute proof of God saying, "Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!" More reasons to rejoice!

Wait there's more! He slices, He dices ... okay I am kidding. But there is more! He loved us! He has saved us! He prays for us. He is Always with us!! He holds everything together by the Word of His Power! He has an fantastic plan that involves us! He is leading and guiding our steps! He will never leave us nor forsake us! His gives us rest for our souls and comfort in every trial--and so much more! It is the TRUTH and cause for more joy and rejoicing! Let's remind ourselves and others of our reason to always rejoice--Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
